What is gay math?

The internet has been buzzing recently over “gay math.”

That’s not math that turns kids gay, despite Florida’s ban on 54 math textbooks because they “indoctrinate” children. In fact, it’s got nothing to do with numbers.

After “boy math” and “girl math” swept social media earlier this month, “gay math” has taken over TikTok and Instagram.

Uly, from the UlyandErnesto TikTok account, broke things down in a relatable way that folks can understand.

“A one-month relationship in gay man equals five years,” he claims in a TikTok with over two million views. “A one-month relationship in lesbian equals one month. But they’ve been living together for three weeks and already own a cat.”
