One of the (very many) reasons QUEERGURU spends each summer in Provincetown. the gay mecca of Cape Cod, is that we get to hang out with Adam Singer the man (and the passion) behind ADAMS NEST. He claims to be one of the best kept secrets straight outta Ptown, but that’s way too modest a description. He’s packed his wee store in the town’s East End with clothing items to shake things up, create some social change and look f*&kin’ fabulous while doing it. PTown is in Massachusetts, one of the few states that were solidly biue for Kamala Harris and is now struggling to deal with the consequences of the unexpected election results.
Like most of QG’s readership and followers we are still trying to cope with the reality of electing a convicted Felon who is determined to run this country into the ground exactly as he has always down with his failed business empire. We refuse to use the word ‘hate’ as that is now the exclusive byword of the White House, but nevertheless we are very angry for what damage he will do to this, and other countries, and particularly to the transgender community.
We knew that Adam would be spot on with helping us in making a public statement to share exactly how we feel. Particularly at this very moment when the opposition to this petty dictator seems way to muted riow. He reached out to legendary queer activist Peter Tatchell afer seeing this photo (top of the page) taken in 1992 of him and other members of OUTRAGE, who gave his permission to have it adapted to emblazon on merchandise. It is the PERFECT description how we all feel here on the Queerguru Team
We are proud to wear our FURIOUS FAGGOT T shirts (and hats) and would encourage you to do the same. We will soon be embroiled in a battle to keep the rights we have won over the years, and unlike the likes of Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos, we will refuse to roll over and play dead and even finance all the damage that Trump is set on doing.
