Two new (fabulous) party spaces for queer women in London : SOAK and FLIRRRT

 

These days our inbox is too often filled with notices of more Queer Places closing, so when we get word from London about two new women’s events we know that we must share the good news with you.

In three days, on March 8th, Hungarian-born DJ and producer BEKEFI launches SOAK, a new label and event series. It’s a daytime rave in East London (where else!)  that promises to really strip things back to pure energy—no cameras, no distractions, just music and dancing.

SOAK (KAOS spelt backwards) told us that this is an invitation to step out of convention ….. that fact it runs from 1pm to certainly puts the seal on that. But also,  they refuse to conform to any rigid commercial structures in dance music. BEKEFI favors house, acid, techno, and breaks to craft an experience built for connection, spontaneity, and physicality.

 

 SOAK’s debut event is happening on the 8th March 2025 in Shoreditch and will be a space to lose yourself in the sounds and be surrounded by community.  Get your tickets here. 

 

The there is  Flirrrt London.  A LGBTQIA+ women’s focused and led event that is inclusive of (gorgeous) non binary and trans babes. They profess to recreate together the magic that they felt from party nights that we adored, that were held in the spaces that we have lost over the years. (They told Queerguru that they might be a little older now but they still know how to party). What’s in offer includes delicious heady cocktails (at happy hour prices until we close at 2am,) more of that ambience from their beautiful LGBTQIA+ female vibes, set in a quirky eclectic venue where all danced as one and remember those cosy corners for the space to converse?  Its all there, waiting for you

Fierce and excellent tunes will be spun by our gorgeous and incredibly skilled resident DJ: Ariela and a fantastic guest Dj: Kuljeet who will join us at this event to get you shimmying your shoulders and shaking those hips again, you all danced until we closed last time, that tells us a lot!!!
