Trans Jeopardy! champion Amy Schneider robbed at gunpoint

Amy Schneider, the reigning trans Jeopardy! champion who continues to make history on the show, recently revealed that she was robbed at gun point over the weekend.

On Monday, Schneider explained the incident – which occurred in Oakland, California – to her followers on Twitter.

“Hi All! So first, off: I’m fine,” she wrote. “But I got robbed yesterday, lost my ID, credit cards, and phone. I then couldn’t really sleep last night, and have been dragging myself around all day trying to replace everything.”

She followed up by explaining that as a result, she wouldn’t be able to produce a thread examining the most recent Jeopardy! game, which she has become known for doing after her victories.

Many of Schneider’s followers responded with compassion and support.

“That’s so awful! Please don’t feel pressured to keep up the nightly jeopardy breakdowns,” wrote one user. “Your safety and wellbeing is priority of course. We’ll be cheering you on no matter what.”
