This heartwarming 84-year-old lesbian shows that it’s never too late to live out & proud

That’s how Jan Moore began a heartwarming TikTok video explaining a simple, but momentous moment in the 84-year-old lesbian’s life.

Moore, Australian by birth, lives in Canada with her partner of nearly 30 years, Linda Ford. The couple tied the knot in 2018.

“I can’t believe that it’s taken me so long to do it,” Moore wondered in her Aussie accent, accompanied by a heart-tugging TikTok soundtrack.

Then she got to the good part: “I had a phone call from my bank, just wanting a few answers, and they said to me, ‘And who is Linda?’ And I said, ‘My wife.’ ‘Oh.’ And we went on and conducted our business. And I hung up the phone, and I realized, that it’s the first time — and I’m 84 and bit years old — that I’ve said ‘My wife.’ So I thought it was worthwhile recording it. Well, call me dumb for not saying it before, but I guess it’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks. Guess what? I’m going to be doing it again.”
