THE TRAITORS US TV Series 3 is a nail-biting psychological adventure in which  treachery and deceit are the name of the game.

You’ve probably never heard of the Dutch reality TV series De Verraders but is has spawned two very successful offspring…..one in UK and in the US.  The latter version on THE TRAITORS is hosted by Scottish gay actor Alan Cumming and it makes for such compulsive veiwing. Its come up on our radar now as its highly anticipated Season 3 will hit our screens on January 9th.  

For those of you that have not got there yet (shame) we should tell you that The Traitors is a nail-biting psychological adventure in which  treachery and deceit are the name of the game. The entertainment industry’s most competitive reality stars and famous faces play the ultimate murder mystery game. Hosted by award-winning  Alan Cumming at an ancient castle set deep in the Scottish Highlands, contestants work together on a series of exhilarating missions to build a prize fund worth up to $250,000.

Hidden amongst the Faithful are the Traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the Faithful and claim the prize for themselves. Under the cover of darkness, the Traitors murder the Faithful one by one in a treacherous spree, while the Faithful try to uncover the Traitors and banish them from the game. If the Faithful contestants banish all the Traitors, they will share the prize fund, but if a Traitor or Traitors makes it to the end, they will steal all the money.  Got it?

We’ll let Mr Cummings himself tell you who will be playing in this new series (it includes a minor member of the British Royal Family) 

It has already won several Awards including 3 Primetime EMMYS, and at a time when so many TV programs are being prematurely dumped, TRAITORS has already been extended for two more seasons are after this one.  We have no idea why the Brits have their own version of The Traitors, but it, and its presenter Claudia Winkleman have also won a large following and several prestigious Awards.
