"Buckling to pressure from out-of-state, right-wing fundamentalists, the Dodgers caved to a religious minority that is perpetuating a false narrative about LGBTQ+ people," LA LGBT Center CEO Joe Hollendoner said as he called for the Dodgers to invite the Sisters again or cancel the Pride Night.

DeSantis signed a slate of anti-LGBTQ+ measures this past week after signing several into law earlier in the month. It's the largest set of anti-LGBTQ+ bills signed in a single legislative session in Florida. 

"As the world goes mad, Florida represents a refuge of sanity and a citadel of normalcy,” DeSantis said during his signing ceremony for the most recent bills at a Christian school.

On the Rachel Maddow show, E. Jean Carroll's out lawyer Roberta Kaplan said that she and her client might sue Donald Trump again. On what grounds did she suggest that she would sue?

E. Jean Carroll won her case against Donald Trump with help from Kaplan after he called her a liar for saying he sexually assaulted her in a changing room in the 90s. Days later, he was on CNN calling her a "whack job" and saying he didn't even know her.

"It’s unprecedented for a person to have been held liable in defamation to keep doing the defamation,” Kaplan said.

Homosexuality isn't even legal in the south African nation, but the Supreme Court of Namibia ruled that the government is required to recognize same-sex marriages performed legally in other nations between citizens and foreign nationals.

“Today’s verdict and outcome clearly indicates that Namibia is moving towards recognizing diversity in this country irrespective of people’s political or social positioning,” LGBTQ+ rights activist Linda Baumann said.

The three women filibustered Nebraska's unicameral legislature for months to block a ban on gender-affirming care from passing, but Republicans were able to combine the anti-trans law with an abortion ban and cobble together the votes needed to end their filibuster.

“Shame on you who are devising escape routes out of here,” said state Sen. Megan Hunt (I) as those who voted for the bill sneaked out through a back exit. “If you can’t go out there and face the people you are hurting, then you are not worthy of this job.”

Jenna Barbee in Hernando County showed students Strange World after standardized testing, and one girl in the class told her mother who then filed a complaint with the state because a character in that movie discusses a crush he has on a boy.

The word indoctrination is thrown around a lot right now, but it seems that those who are using it are using it as a defense tactic for their own fear-based beliefs without understanding the true meaning of the word," Barbee said at a school board meeting.

Republicans have been attakcing the military as "woke" for years, but few have gone so far as to call for defunding the military. But this week, Rep. Roy did just that when the Air Force issued a memo to allow Pride celebrations.

DeSantis has blamed drag queens for a lot of things in the past, but this week he claimed that people have told him that they don't want their kids joining the military because of drag queens. He was referring to the U.S. Navy's "digital ambassadors" trial program, which ended already. Out nonbinary Yeoman Second Class Joshua Kelley participated in it, and they perform in drag as Harpy Daniels.

“We need to get the military focused on what it’s supposed to be,” DeSantis said. “I don’t want to run into any more veterans saying, ‘You know, governor, I don’t think that I would want my son or daughter to join the military anymore.’”
