Tan France announces he & his husband are expecting baby number 2

Queer Eye star Tan France has announced that he and his husband, Rob France, are expecting their second child.

“We are so excited about [our 21-month-old] Ismail having a sibling,” France told People, “but the most exciting part is that he will have somebody hopefully for the rest of his life that he gets to call his person.”

France added that the couple was “over the moon” when they discovered their surrogate was pregnant.

“It was the best feeling ever. I mean, it felt almost as shocking as the first time. I was overjoyed, in tears, I couldn’t believe that it had finally happened again. It was just the most incredible feeling.”

He said they have a “wonderful” relationship with her and that she is an “incredible woman.”

The couple will be keeping the sex and name of their future baby a secret for now, but France said he has wanted to use the name for over ten years.

“I always knew these two names that I loved the most. And so thankfully, Rob loves them also. We’re on track to call our baby this name.”

France recently posted a video of himself announcing baby number two on the Milk Drunk podcast. In the post, he said it was two years ago to the day that he announced Ismail was on the way.

“Becoming dads has been our greatest joy,” he wrote on Instagram, “and we are so excited to grow our family with the help of our wonderful surrogate. I’m excited to share more about our journey through surrogacy, becoming dads of two and a few choice words for anyone with opinions on our choices. “
