Strictly Come Dancing fans have rushed to support John Whaite and Johannes Radebe after a slip-up saw the pro dancer fall to the ground.

The Strictly pair were dancing the salsa to Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family” when a lift went awry and Radebe dropped to the floor.

Radebe quickly recovered, styling out the fall into a pose on the floor.

Radebe admitted during the judging that he had given Whaite the wrong hand during the routine.

The drop’s recovery earned praise from Strictly fans on social media, however, and the two even managed to bag a spot in the show’s semi-final. 

One Twitter user explained that a minor error wouldn’t lose them her support, and that the couple’s “energy is infectious”. 

“I needed that salsa even though I didn’t know it,” they said.
