Spend this Valentines Day with a little bit country and a whole lot of Andrew Mitch

 

We’re celebrating this years Valentines with ‘a little bit county’.  (And we don’t mean the Queen of country Miss Dolly P.)  Meet gay country recording artist ANDREW MITCH who is releasing his new single “back home boy” this Friday, February 14.  Both he, and the song, are HOT and really set the mood for today.

We caught up with Andrew in Nashville and he shared with Queerguru “I really wanted to write a song about meeting someone at a bar and wanting to bring them back home but not ‘back to your place.’ There are so many songs about one night stands. But for so much of the gay community, that’s not real life. So many of us just want to settle down, get married, and have a family. I wrote this so that other gay men could have that real life, ‘let’s get to know each other’ song.”   However he avoided sharing with us if was still looking for Mr Right.  Or even Mr Rght Now.

Ever since September 2023 when he released his first single “all in my head”, a heartfelt anthem that struck a chord with fans across the world he’s starting to get the attention he deserves  The song’s vivid hometown storytelling and heartfelt hook, “I know that it’s all in my head/ Cuz they’ll just wish you were girl instead”, earned him a peak spot at #94 on the US iTunes country charts, hundreds of thousands of streams, and widespread praise for its authenticity and raw emotion
