Right-wing congressman eviscerates Marjorie Taylor Greene for her obsession with impeaching Biden

It seems Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) isn’t the only right-wing colleague feuding with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). House Freedom Caucus member Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) – considered one of Congress’s most conservative members – has been speaking out against the anti-LGBTQ+ congresswoman for her relentless campaign to impeach President Biden, as well as her lack of legal knowledge on how impeachment actually works.

Speaking to MSNBC correspondent Jen Psaki, Buck called it “absurd” for Greene to even share an opinion on if and when it would make sense to impeach Biden.

Greene suggested that Larry Sinclair’s highly dubious claims would “steal the show” at CPAC.

“Marjorie filed articles of impeachment on President Biden before he was sworn into office more than two and a half years ago,” Buck said, “so the idea that she is now the expert on impeachment or that she is someone who should set the timing on impeachment is absurd.”

Buck was responding to a question from Psaki on a recent tweet from Greene that appeared to walk back her rush to impeach Biden: “Our country deserves for Congress to vote for an impeachment inquiry for very important reasons,” Greene wrote, “not a rush impeachment vote.”

Buck also said that House members are indeed investigating Biden but are turning up no evidence against him.

“The impeachment process is one that is going on right now. The Judiciary Committee, the Oversight Committee, the Ways and Means Committee are all investigating. They’re developing really good information about Hunter Biden…There is not a strong connection at this point between the evidence on Hunter Biden and any evidence connecting the President, so I am more focused on the issues that I think Americans care deeply about.”

Last week, Greene criticized Buck on X, formerly known as Twitter, for pushing back against the narrative that January 6th inmates are enduring worse treatment than other inmates.

She also blasted him for doing his civic duty by voting to certify Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election.

During a subsequent radio show appearance, Buck was asked about Greene’s position that she won’t vote for any budget bill unless it defunds the special counsel investigating Donald Trump.

Buck’s reply: “When I was teaching law school, I learned and taught certain constitutional principles. When Majorie Taylor Greene was teaching CrossFit [she’s a former CrossFit gym owner], she learned a whole different set of values, evidently. Because my idea of what this country should be like is based on the constitution, and she sees the world differently.”
