Pedro Pascal to hit the road in upcoming lesbian comedy “Drive-Away Dolls”

So you want more Pedro Pascal? Well, you shall have it! The Last of Us star has reportedly been cast in an as yet unspecified role in director Ethan Coen’s upcoming lesbian road-trip comedy, Drive-Away Dolls.

According to Variety, the film follows uninhibited free spirit Jamie as she embarks on a road trip with her demure friend Marian. Jamie is fresh off a break-up with her girlfriend, while Marian is desperate to loosen up, but things go off the rails when they cross paths with a group of inept criminals.

The ‘Last of Us’ actor’s scenes from the sexy, soapy 90s series recently resurfaced online.

Out actors Beanie Feldstein and Coleman Domingo also star in the film alongside Pascal, Margaret Qualley, Geraldine Viswanathan, Bill Camp, and Matt Damon.

Described as a “comedy caper,” Drive-Away Dolls is co-written by Coen and wife Tricia Cooke. The film is Coen’s solo directorial debut, marking the first film he’s directed without brother Joel Coen. As a duo, the Coen brothers have directed several Academy Award-winning films, including 2008 Best Picture winner No Country for Old Men, for which they also jointly won the Oscar for Best Director.

Drive-Away Dolls is set to be released in theaters in September.

No stranger to queer and queer-adjacent roles, Pascal had his breakout role playing bisexual lord Oberyn Martell on HBO’s Game of Thrones. More recently, he’s become both a household name and social media’s hot dad of the moment thanks to his role on HBO’s acclaimed queer-inclusive zombie apocalypse series The Last of Us. He’s also set to star as a queer cowboy opposite Ethan Hawke in out director Pedro Almodóvar’s highly anticipated short film Strange Way of Life.

Off-screen, Pascal has also been a vocal advocate of LGBTQ+ rights and representation. He has frequently discussed his support for his sister, transgender actress and activist Lux Pascal.
