Matteo Lane hilarious new (and very queer) THE AL DENTE SHOW SPECIAL is coming to HULU

One thing most (single) gay men can agree on is that first impressions can be deceiving. For example, take the case of Matteo Lane.  He is a hilarious, cheeky queer American/Italian comedian who is certainly ‘very easy on the eyes’  but who trained as an opera singer and painter back in Italy (he can sing in six octaves!).   I’m not sure how close a friend one would want to be, though, as he mines his own life for his wickedly funny stand-up acts and no-body is safe. To be fair he doesnt leave his own life out of his acts and loves to share ……so yes we now know he is a lazy bottom.

Last year he appeared in OUTSTANDNG a feature length documentary that explored the history of LGBTQ+ stand up comedy, considering its importance as an instrument for social change over the past five decades. In a cast that included seemingly every queer comic in the world right now, Lane still couldn’t help being a scene stealer .  However we are not alone  in being major fans as previously he was named one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch” and described by The Advocate as “bold and unflinchingly genuine.”

So we were thrilled to learn that HULU has filmed “Matteo Lane: The Al Dente Special” as the seventh original special in Hulu’s stand up comedy series Hularious. It will premiere on Friday May 16th BUT meanwhile we are sharing on of our all-time favorite Lane skits
