Marjorie Taylor Greene is “threatened” by trans women who are “aggressively replacing women”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) now says that she’s “threatened” by transgender women because they are “aggressively replacing women.”

“As a woman, I feel threatened because biological men are aggressively replacing women,” Greene wrote yesterday. “All of my life, as an American women, I’ve been equal in every place to men, but not anymore.”

Greene was replying to a tweet from Fox News host Tucker Carlson that was about United States Assistant Secretary for Health Dr. Rachel Levine, who is transgender. Dr. Levine was recently included in USA Today‘s list of Women of the Year in honor of her historic achievements, but Carlson wrote a tweet that implied that she didn’t deserve the honor because she is transgender.

Carlson included screenshots of tweets that had been deleted by Twitter for calling Dr. Levine a “man” and he wrote, “Both these tweets are true.” Carlson’s tweet has since been deleted as well for violating Twitter’s rules; the social media platform bans hate speech.

Greene got her start in political activism by protesting drag queens at libraries. Despite the eclectic issues she campaigned on, she has remained true to her anti-LGBTQ roots during her term in Congress, trying to shut down Congress because it was considering a bill to ban anti-LGBTQ discrimination and displaying an anti-transgender sign outside here office.

“Well, first off, my husband would’ve beat him into the ground, and then he’d be in jail,” Greene said last month on the show Infowars, referring to a transgender camp counselor. “But this is exactly how we need to stand up against this stuff.”
