MAGA influencer’s new beer will profit off Bud Light outrage by charging $30 for a 6-pack

A far-right influencer has started his own brand of conservative beer as part of the right’s backlash against Bud Light for sponsoring a transgender influencer’s Instagram video.

“America’s been drinking beer from a company that doesn’t even know which restroom to use,” Seth Weathers, CEO of the rightwing clothing company Freedom Speaks Up, says in an ad for Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right 100% Woke-Free beer. His ad shows images of trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney drinking Bud Light in her Instagram video.

They’re throwing beer away because a trans person got a customized can.

“That’s why I created Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right 100% Woke-Free beer,” Weathers says, wearing a hoodie that is at least one size too big for him and a backwards cap. “If you know which bathroom to use, you know what beer you should be drinking. Stop giving money to woke corporations that hate our values.”

He then hits a Bud Light can with a baseball bat.

According to the website he set up to sell this beer, it costs $19.99 for a six-pack. When shipped to an Indiana address, the total cost comes to $28.74, according to the website’s order form. Others on social media said that their shipping cost priced the beer up to $35 for a six-pack.

Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right 100% Woke-Free beer has a 4% alcohol content, putting it on the weaker end of the beer spectrum. (Bud Light contains 5% alcohol.)

One of Weathers’s followers said they ordered it but “hopefully pricing can come down soon,” and Weathers responded that he needs to sell more beer in order to lower the price.

That explanation, though, makes little sense since it’s unlikely Weathers was involved in the beer’s production. It’s possible that Weathers put a new label on a generic beer that was already being mass-produced, considering the time it usually takes to develop a new beer.

It takes anywhere from two weeks to one year to brew and ferment beer, according to The Kitchn — not to mention, the time it takes to develop and test a recipe, set up a facility to produce it, and can it — and Mulvaney’s Bud Light video was published just last week.

Last week, Mulvaney posted a video to Instagram with some custom Bud Light cans with her face on them. Since then, the right has been losing its collective mind over the partnership — which Bud Light’s parent company says it has with “hundreds” of influencers. Right-wingers have been announcing boycotts of the company, posting videos to social media of them destroying Bud Light cans, or just sadly pouring them out. One even produced a rap video to express their new hatred of Bud Light.

On Twitter, many people mocked the absurdity of the backlash and those who said they had bought Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right 100% Woke-Free beer.
