Lindsey Graham dragged for accusing Joe Biden of “brazen politicization” of Capitol Insurrection

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is getting dragged on social media after he accused President Joe Biden of “brazen politicization” of the Capitol Insurrection.

Earlier today, Biden gave a speech about the January 6, 2021 attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election, when supporters of
Donald Trump stormed the Capitol, chanted for the death of Mike Pence as he presided over the Senate’s certification of the election, and erected a makeshift noose. Elected officials were swept to safety by the Secret Service and Capitol Police and five people died as a result of the day’s events.

“For the first time in our history, a president had not just lost an election. He tried to prevent the peaceful transfer of power as a violent mob reached the Capitol,” Biden said in a speech earlier today on the one-year anniversary of the attempted coup. “But they failed. They failed. And on this day of remembrance, we must make sure that such an attack never, never happens again.”

Biden repeated the expression “former president” 16 times and went further at one point, saying Trump was “not just a former president, he’s a defeated former president.”

The attempted coup was a direct consequence of members of the Republican Party refusing to accept the Democratic Party’s victory in the 2020 presidential election, making it a partisan event in the sense that it was about a conflict defined by party lines.

Even so, Graham was mad at Biden for his “brazen politicization of January 6.”

“I wonder if the Taliban who now rule Afghanistan with al-Qaeda elements present, contrary to President Biden’s beliefs, are allowing this speech to be carried?”
