Lea Michele just threw petrol on the conspiracy theory that she can’t read while making her TikTok debut.

The theory dates back to a 40-minute video by the creators of the One More Thing podcast, who detailed allegations in Naya Rivera’s biography that Michele refused to improvise on the Glee set.

They compiled more ‘evidence’ that Lea Michele can’t read, such as her not doing her own signature and having her lines fed to her.

It’s since become a staple of the absurd celebrity conspiracy theory canon, gaining new life when Michele returned to the headlines with her debut in Broadway’s Funny Girl.

Now, Lea Michele has joined TikTok, and she’s already poked fun at rumours.

Michele’s first TikTok sees her her lip-syncing to her own rendition of “Don’t Rain On My Parade”, which she sang on Glee years before winning the lead in Funny Girl.

As the views rolled in their millions, Michele posted a follow-up, this time lip-syncing to a Keeping Up With The Kardashians clip of Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis, who says “Hi how is it?”, and a tearful Kim Kardashian, who replies: “It’s amazing but wait can you talk for a sec.”

She captioned the post “calling Jonathan [Groff] to read me the comments on my first TikTok”.
