Lauren Boebert asks Democrats to declare human fetuses an endangered species

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) had a strange request for Congressional Democrats: declare “babies” to be an endangered species.

She walked into a Water, Wildlife and Fisheries Subcommittee hearing earlier today and, before speaking, pulled out pictures of human fetuses even though she was supposed to talk about her opposition to the gray wolf being listed as an endangered species.

Anderson Cooper said it was “terrifying” and “stunning” that democracy’s survival depends on mainstream politicians like Mitch McConnell doing the right thing.

“I appreciate this time today and thank you so much for everyone who’s attending here and traveling so far to be here,” Boebert said. “I do want to say before my opening remarks, you know, since we’re talking about the Endangered Species Act, I’m just wondering if my colleagues on the other side would put babies on the endangered species list.”

She then held up the pictures.

“These babies were born in Washington, D.C. full term,” she continued. “I don’t know, maybe that’s a way we can save some children here in the United States.”

She did not explain anything about the pictures, like how she got them, if they were aborted fetuses, or why they were aborted if they were “full term.” Instead she launched into accusing the Endangered Species Act of being “weaponized by extremists, extremist environmentalists, to obstruct common sense multiple-use activities that they disagree with.”

On social media, people mocked her decision to show those pictures.

Fetuses that were born? She doesn’t know what a baby is?

I would point out, other than not being factual, it that humans are not an endangered species. We have more than enough on this planet

What really amazes me is, no one on this committee said a thing about how inappropriate this was. They all just let her ramble on !!!!!!! JFC ! SMH !

Imagine: ppl have traveled maybe 1000s of miles to sit through her showing irrelevant feotus photos at a hearing for Grey Wolf as Endangered Species in her ridiclous and futile little anti-choice activism shtick. The disregard and stupidity boggles the mind.
