“I was here for 14 days with a girl that was my really good friend and I realized that, ‘Oh, I like her.’ And having all those feelings while just being in the most magical place in the world and the happiest place on earth was so cool. Even though it didn’t work out, Siwa said the memories of their time together at Disney “make my heart so happy.”

Siwa gave the interview during a visit to the theme park to try out a new ride, TRON Lightcycle/Run before it opens on April 4.

Siwa became a vocal LGBTQ+ advocate after she came out in early 2021. Her coming out has been considered massively influential for today’s youth due to the size of her fan base.

In October, she shared details of her “gay awakening” via a viral TikTok challenge.

The out dancer and “Boomerang” singer posted a video where she “rapped” about the pop culture moments that led her to understand her sexuality.

She also became part of the first-ever same-sex pair on season 30 of Dancing with the Stars, ABC’s popular and long-running dance competition show.

“I want to make it OK for the people who come after me,” she said. “I want to make everything OK for the people who come after me.”
