Is RFK Jnr deliberately trying to kill us all, and make life so much worse for future generations

One of the very many worries that we should all be concerned about in this US Administration is that this nation’s healthcare is now in the hands of the totally unqualified RFK Jnr who seems hell bent on putting his crackpot theories into practice despite all the major risks they will cause. It’s one thing for him to question the validity of well-proven Covid vaccines right now, but his dangerous precedent of defunding crucial medical research could mean a death sentence for us and future generations.
As in the case of Ashish A. Deshmukh, PhD, MPH, professor in the department of public health sciences and co-leader of the cancer prevention program at Hollings Cancer Center at Medical University of South Carolina who has just announced a new major breakthrough.
His research on the long-term impact in terms of mortality reduction found that screening for anal cancer at age 35 has the potential to reduce anal cancer death rates by up to 65% in people with HIV. The screening appeared cost-effective and could decrease anal cancer incidence and mortality, according to his research published in Annals of Internal Medicine
There are more than 10,000 cases of anal cancer each year in the United States, and annual incidence and mortality rates are increasing by more than 2.5%, according to the study background.
The irony is that this was publicly announced the same day that the Health Secretary canceled nearly $500 million of grants and contracts for developing mRNA vaccines It is the latest blow to research on this technology, as in May, the Department revoked a nearly $600 million contract to the drugmaker Moderna to develop a vaccine against bird flu.
The new cancellations dismayed scientists, many of whom regard mRNA shots as the best option for protecting Americans in a pandemic.“This is a bad day for science,” said Scott Hensley, an immunologist at the University of Pennsylvania working to develop an mRNA vaccine against influenza.
If RFK doesnt feel like we should improve the means to fight flu (While most people recover from the flu, it can be fatal, particularly for certain at-risk groups and the CDC estimates that between 12,000 and 52,000 people die from the flu each year in the United States) how slim are the chances are for Prof Deshmukh’s research to be put in to practice?
This is not a political party issue but the reality of how much fatal harm can be done having self-serving extremists imposing if we let them remain in power
