Trans actor and model Hunter Schafer has publicly called out a nightclub in Germany for denying access to her personal assistant, who is also trans.

Schafer, who plays Jules on HBO’s Euphoria, condemned Silq nightclub in Düsseldorf after its bouncer allegedly barred her assistant from entry.

In an Instagram live video, Schafer filmed herself confronting the bouncer.

“[You] said my friend could not come in because she’s trans…you’re on live with seven million people by the way,” she said, referring to her followers.

hunter schafer went on live to expose silq, a nightclub located in düsseldorf for being transphobic towards her personal manager, forbidding her entry. silq is also well known for not being safe for black people. share the information, take the place down.pic.twitter.com/UlArNiTTzx

Addressing her followers, Schafer then said: “Don’t come to Silq, it’s not safe for transgender people.” The bouncer was heard declining to tell Schafer their name in the video.

The video then shows Schafer being approached for a photo by a fan, to which the actor responded: “I’m actually very upset at this place right now because they’re transphobic… didn’t let my assistant in because she’s trans.”

Walking away from the nightclub, Schafer concluded: “F**k Silq… internet, do what you do, take them out”.

Fans have praised Schafer for using her platform to call out injustice.
