Facing life with no more HOPE!

We are really not sure who first coined the annoying phrase…’ all good things must come to an end”  but we know why we hate it …. because it’s true.  Only this week we received a black bordered glitter glamagram from Brighton, the gay mecca on Britain’s South Coast. It was from Ty Jefferies who told us that his mistress, the sophisticated chanteuse MISS HOPE SPRINGS, has decided to retire from the stage for good, after one final swan song performance at her home-from-home, CRAZY COQS in London.  We were slightly confused as Mr Jefferies had made a similar announcement in 2024  ….. but hey, we can understand that the great lady is still somewhat reluctant to leave her legions of fans alone with just Miss Hope’s records

We are so going to miss her repertoire of ridiculously catchy self-penned all original musical numbers and a plethora of scandalous showbiz stories when she unpacks her battered old suitcase of dreams and takes us on a trip down her by now, somewhat potholed memory lane with songs and stories from her ‘Ritz to the pits’ life in London Paris and erm, Dungeness (where she lives with her husband Irving and his close personal hairdresser pal Carlos in a camper van).

She is frank and quite indiscreet as she reminisces about her one-time paramours, (Liberace, Tab Hunter and Noel Coward were just a few of the men who got away), and with ‘The voice of an angel…A fallen one’ croons her ‘Life affirming torch songs of despair’ (Marc Almond)
