Donald Trump’s niece explains exactly why his kids aren’t coming to his trial to support him

Mary Trump, the lesbian niece of former President Donald Trump, has noticed something weird about his family’s support during his hush money trial — it’s nonexistent.

Mary Trump noted that the ex-president’s younger son, Eric Trump, has shown up several times in the New York City court to support his father, but Donald Trump’s other children, including Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump, and his wife, Melania Trump, have been nowhere near him.

Mary Trump said that Stormy Daniels’s testimony must have been “incredibly humiliating” for her uncle, who was cursing her out in the courtroom.

“Maybe Eric drew the short straw because it doesn’t really make sense that it’s just him and not both [him and Trump Jr.] or vice versa,” Mary Trump said in a recent MSNBC livestream.

“He doesn’t care if they’re there,” Mary Trump continued. “He’s much more disturbed by the absence of crowds outside rallying for his defense, which is why we’re seeing this parade of increasingly pathetic, sycophantic members of Congress who should be [governing] … taking time out of their apparently not very busy days to help undermine Americans confidence in the rule of law.”

The Republican congress members Mary Trump referred to include Sen. Rick Scott (FL), Sen. JD Vance (OH), Sen. Tommy Tuberville (AL), House Speaker Mike Johnson, and other far-right legislators who recently visited with Rep. Lauren Boebert (CO).

Donald Trump is on trial for allegedly hiding hush money payments to silence potentially unflattering stories about his alleged extramarital affair with adult video performer Stormy Daniels. Donald Trump has been accused of repeatedly sleeping and farting throughout the trial and grandstanding with his congressional supporters in front of the press to blast the trial as a “rigged” process to harm his presidential election campaign.

Continuing her comments on MSNBC, Mary Trump said, “You know, whether Eric, daughter Ivanka, that’s irrelevant to Donald … His narcissistic needs are much greater than that. So somebody else is going to have to make him feel better on that score.

“[Ivanka Trump] doesn’t need them,” she said. “All of these relationships are transactional, and she is a legitimately wealthy person because of the person she’s married to. She doesn’t need Donald for anything. She’s not going to show up in a courtroom to support him, especially in a case that is at its base so depressingly tawdry.”

“It’s a pretty obviously transactional family,” she added, “and if they’re not getting anything out of it, they’re not going to be there.”
