Bonham ‘The Art of Auction’ in aid of The Laurel Foundation who support families impacted by HIV/AIDS, and transgender/gender diverse youth.

Laurel Holloman (b. 1971), Temperature of Traveling, 2024

Bonhams, is the world’s largest and most renowned auctioneer of all the fine things in life, and is even older, by a few years,  than the septuagenarian senior doing havoc in The White House.  (They were founded in 1793). They hold several spectacular Auctions each week around the globe, and their turnover in 2023 was $1.14 billion: their best ever result in their 230-year history.

However, it’s the special Auction that kicks off on April 23rd that attracted QG’s attention.  It is the third annual charity auction with The Laurel Foundation, one of the nation’s most comprehensive providers of mental health and support programs for at-risk youth, young key populations, children, youth, and families impacted by HIV/AIDS, and transgender/gender diverse youth.

Holloman’s Temperature of Traveling celebrates joy and progress within the LGBTQI community. Green’s evocative photography—featuring works like Lil Nas X—transforms personal vision into a powerful narrative.
