2021 is, at long, long last, coming to an end.

Nearly two years into a drawn-out pandemic that has left the world exhausted and ready to hibernate, we’re about to say goodbye to a year that, to be honest, felt about a decade long.

But it hasn’t all been doom and gloom – really, it hasn’t – as 2021 saw a kaleidoscopic array of people bravely come out.

In heartfelt social media posts and interviews, actors, athletes, influencers, media personalities, models, lawmakers, drag queens and more have proudly and defiantly shared their truths to the world.
